Creating Variable Links 

Variable links are used to change a variable to either a preset value or to open a Web Client page where the value can be input and then modified.

1.Click the Create Variable Tab.

1.Enter a variable name including the complete path in EnterpriseSCHEDULE.
Note: The variable name is required. Use syntax  \dirname\var_name.
 

2.To have the link open a dialog that allows entry of a new variable value, select Change variable to prompted value when link is run. This will open this dialog when the link is run. Fill in the new value and click OK

3.To have the link change the variable value to a preset value, select Change variable to the value entered in the field below and enter the new value.

4.To Create the Link and Embed Code click on the Create Link button

A dialog box will open with both the HTML link and the Embed code to add a link to a web page. Copy the link for use as a desktop web link or to embed in a web page.

The Link can be used in a Browser shortcut, a desktop shortcut, an email or anywhere a hyperlink is used. It will invoke the call in a browser. 

The Embed code can be pasted into any website, WordPress site, .NET site etc. This allows quick access to these features for specific jobs without logging in and locating the job. After entering the data, copy the Link or Embed Code and either save it as a shortcut or paste the Embed Code into HTML.
